QUESTIONS
After getting some key words down, I decided to put some questions together example of the questions I came up with are :
-Is design just to make something look good?
-Is design limited to what we have been taught or more?
-Should design be about what our interests are or about everything in general?
-Does the outcome of designers work reflects their level of knowledge?
-What does it take to be a designer ?
-Is design limited to what society thinks it is or is there more to it?
FINAL QUESTIONS
So after a lot of thinking and explanation to my tutor, I decided to stick to the question (Is design limited to what society think is it or is there more to it),as it has been said that we should choose an essay that interest us, and I have always been interested in finding out other areas design spreads to.
And after concluding what my question is I needed to research on some key words/points in order to back up my essay and below are some of the researches I did.
-POLITICS:
Design and politics seems to be two completely different subject, however politicians find use for design in there political campaign making design more relevant than ever, it is a useful tool for politics, also visual communication is one of the main tool employed in campaigns, party logos websites etc.an example of this is Obama hope logo displayed below:

Obama hope logo contributes to his success in the election, with the use of a poster, depicting him as a man of vision and hope for the country.
His logo design shows hope as we can see the sun rising over a ploughed farm land.

Design has great impact on social issues as it can provide long term solution to arising problems like child trafficking, drugs, modern slavery etc.ideo.org is a great examples of usage of design thinking to help in social changes. Image below shows design use for social good.
Some of the points made in these articles above have giving me a clear understanding of how design can be a tool to arising social problems. Although some of them have different areas design can be applied, however it all come down to one thing which is "solution" to problems.

Design should be about making not destroying. Designer have the ability to create something magical and still be able to manage resources for the benefit of the environment. Little things like the choice of materials used in packaging, printing could make a difference.
The video above shows how much energy is been wasted as lack of design thinking and conservation.
